Privacy policy

Last updated:

Who we are

cron.surf is operated by Photon Craft Studio LLC, a limited liability company in the United States. For anything about this policy or your data, write to privacy@cron.surf.

What you type stays in your browser

Every cron expression you enter is parsed, explained and converted in your browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and analytics events never contain it.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and learn which pages help. When analytics is allowed it records the pages you view, the referring page, an approximate location (country and region), device type, browser, language, and a random identifier kept in a cookie. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use Google signals, advertising features or user IDs.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, time) for security and operations.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no cookies. Your theme and your cookie choice are saved in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device.

Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_XXXXXXXXXX, which last up to 2 years, and only when analytics is allowed.

Your choice

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, mainland China and South Korea, analytics cookies are off until you accept them in the banner. Until then Google may receive cookieless pings without identifiers (Google Consent Mode).

Elsewhere analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we use analytics on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and keep request logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure site (Article 6(1)(f)).

Who receives data

Google LLC (analytics) and Vercel Inc. (hosting) process data for us in the United States. Transfers from Europe rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CCPA defines those terms.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is deleted after 14 months. Request logs are kept for the short period Vercel sets.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, CCPA, China’s PIPL, Korea’s PIPA or Japan’s APPI), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Write to privacy@cron.surf and we will answer within 30 days.

We have no names or accounts, so to find your analytics data we may need the client ID from your _ga cookie. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is meant for developers and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

When this policy changes we update this page and the date above.
